Not all dentists can provide I.V. sedation. The Florida Dental Association only issues permits to dentists who have met the requirements of special training in advanced cardiac life support, EKG, pulse oximeter and blood pressure monitoring, and have sufficient clinical and patient experience.
Most patients report having little or no memory of the experience, including sounds or smells.
Complex or time-consuming treatments that often require many appointments to complete can be done in as little as one appointment with sedation dentistry.
People who have difficulty getting numb will find that sedation dentistry eliminates this problem.
